Welcome to Vista's very own HOSA Happenings Blog! I'm Sreya Komati, External Vice President and Editor of HOSA Happenings! Today, I'll be walking you through what HOSA Happenings is all about, and how to get involved.
This year, our entire chapter will be participating in the HOSA Happenings chapter recognition event.
But exactly is HOSA Happenings?
HOSA Happenings provides all our members the opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills required to represent and celebrate the achievements of our chapter and its individual members, as well as to share health-related information with readers. This event is known as a multimedia chapter communication event. For this recognition event, our chapter has selected the use of an online blog forum (this one!) to tell our chapter’s story throughout the year. We’ll have multiple different submissions from all our chapter members, and we plan to feature multiple of our officers and outstanding members as well. As the guidelines state, “This event aims to inspire members to be proactive future health professionals and tell the story of their chapter throughout the year using whatever form of communication they choose.”
We hope that our blog not only documents our activities and HOSA’s impact on our community but also inspires others to join our club and encourages more students and readers to join us in exploring the medical field.
As the year goes on, we will be regularly updating our blog with pictures, articles, member spotlights, volunteering updates, and community outreaches.
