Welcome back everyone, today, we'll be getting to know Suhrit Bejjam, a junior in our club, and taking a look at some of the activities and volunteering her does in his free time.
Suhrit is a regular volunteer at our local hospitals and has been volunteering for about a year now. He's learned a lot working alongside doctors, nurses, and care staff, and feels like this experience has better prepared him for a career in healthcare.
We asked him about some of his responsibilities and roles as a volunteer:
"I help guide patients to where they need to go as well as talk with the doctors and nurses I see when I’m walking around."
Suhrit has taken multiple science classes and summer programs pertaining to healthcare, as he's interested in the field. In particular, he said this when asked what he wanted to pursue in the future:
"I’m interested in gynecology, and hope to pursue a career as a gynecologist in the future."
